Bully Sticks Central is owned by Preston Smith and Keith Branson — two dog-loving entrepreneurs based in Miami Beach who set out to serve dogs and dog parents with the healthiest single-ingredient chews and treats on the planet.

Why we built BSC

We started Bully Sticks Central because we couldn't find chews we trusted to give our own dogs. The pet aisle is full of products with long ingredient lists, mystery proteins, and chemicals we couldn't pronounce. The most popular category — rawhide — is chemically processed cattle hide that's a known choking and intestinal-obstruction risk.

We knew there was a better way. So we built it.

How we source

Sourcing is the part of the pet treat industry most brands won't talk about. We will.

Our beef comes from grass-fed American and Argentinean farms — both regions have rigorous inspection standards and a long history of producing high-quality, range-raised cattle. We don't use Asian or Eastern European sources, where regulatory oversight is inconsistent. Our products are processed under USDA-inspected facilities, with no chemical bleach, no smoke flavoring, no preservatives, and no glycerin or propylene glycol. Sourcing and operations are led directly by co-founder Keith Branson.

Why we don't sell rawhide

This one matters enough that we made it a brand pillar. Rawhide is chemically processed cattle hide, often treated with lime, peroxide, and industrial solvents. It's not the same as the meat-based chews we sell. Rawhide chews are a documented cause of choking incidents and intestinal blockages in dogs that often require emergency veterinary intervention.

Every chew we sell is meat — single-ingredient, fully digestible. Our flagship rawhide alternative is the beef cheek roll, which gives the same long-lasting chew experience without the risk.

The founders

Preston Smith is the co-founder of Bully Sticks Central with a background in marketing and entrepreneurship. He writes the BSC blog covering dog nutrition, safe chews, and the practical side of feeding dogs well. He owns a Golden Doodle named Razzy (pictured), and with his wife is the parent of five kids — four boys and one sweet girl.

Keith Branson is the co-founder of Bully Sticks Central, leading operations, warehousing, and sourcing. Keith brings a background in manufacturing and entrepreneurship to the work of getting every chew BSC sells from grass-fed American and Argentinean farms onto pet parents' doorsteps. He and his wife are the parents of three rambunctious boys, plus two Jack Russell Terriers — Carry and Joe D (pictured).
